Director of Training & Quality

About the role

Kempinski is looking for a Director of Training & Quality for its hotel in Dubai. The role keeps quality standards, practices and scores improving across the hotel, uses the Kempinski offline and online learning tools to grow talent, and helps the hotel deliver exceptional guest service and profitability for its owner.

Key responsibilities

• Establish a Kempinski-standard training network, spend time in operations and build it
• Analyse training needs and effectiveness, and ensure corporate training modules are implemented and reflect hotel policies
• Develop the Training BITE library with departmental trainers and embed and track Kempinski training programs
• Plan, design and deliver training programmes and devise a training marketing strategy
• Analyse e-learning platform data and coach managers and departmental trainers
• Work with the General Manager on learning for EXCOM and HODs, organise Kempinski DNA and brand immersion activities, and prepare the yearly training budget
• Complete KEA checks and self-audits, and complete the monthly training report and regional consolidation report
• Identify and foster Master Trainer candidates and train the training team
• Use the Kempinski Experience Assessment Tool (KEA) and ReviewPro to audit quality, investigate quality concerns and propose improvements
• Build relationships with external suppliers, training providers and legal and safety entities, and take stretch projects assigned by the General Manager

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or similar in Tourism/Hotel Management or Education
• One year in a similar position within a luxury brand
• Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment
