Director, Private Banking - CIS

About the role

The Director, Private Banking – CIS will develop and manage a portfolio of ultra‑high‑net‑worth (UHNWI) and high‑net‑worth (HNWI) clients across the CIS region, delivering integrated banking, fiduciary and investment solutions while achieving AUM and revenue targets for FAB.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and grow a client base of HNWI/UHNWI, providing premium service and generating new business through referrals and networking.
• Lead end‑to‑end private‑banking projects, coordinating with relationship managers and global teams.
• Identify and pursue new market opportunities within the CIS segment and promote cross‑selling across FAB’s Gulf and international branches.
• Conduct full client due‑diligence, ensuring compliance with AML, OFAC and KYC standards.
• Monitor client portfolios for diversification, performance and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in product development, marketing initiatives and the promotion of FAB’s offshore and onshore platforms.

Required profile

• In‑depth knowledge of FAB policies, AML, OFAC and KYC requirements for international private banking.
• Comprehensive understanding of the private‑banking trilogy: banking, fiduciary (trusts, foundations) and portfolio management.
• Strong familiarity with offshore jurisdictions such as Switzerland, UK, US, Jersey, Cayman Islands, BVI and UAE free zones.
• Extensive knowledge of retail, corporate and treasury investment‑banking products, including vanilla and derivative instruments.
• Excellent written and spoken English plus Arabic, French, Hindi or Urdu.
• Proven ability to work independently, build long‑term client relationships and generate referrals.

• OFAC sanctions screening knowledge.
• Know‑Your‑Customer (KYC) procedures implementation.
• Offshore jurisdiction expertise (e.g., Switzerland, Cayman Islands, BVI).
• Investment‑banking product knowledge (vanilla and derivatives).
