Director, Private Banking – NRI

About the role

First Abu Dhabi Bank is seeking a Director for its Private Banking NRI segment. The role focuses on growing the business with ultra‑high‑net‑worth and high‑net‑worth clients across offshore and onshore locations, delivering tailored investment solutions and expanding market share.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of UHNWI and HNWI clients, providing 24/7 personalized service and comprehensive investment solutions.
• Identify and acquire new business through referrals, networking and strategic marketing, targeting the NRI segment globally.
• Lead end‑to‑end projects, coordinate with relationship managers and other group functions to cross‑sell banking, fiduciary and portfolio‑management products.
• Ensure compliance with AML, OFAC and KYC standards, conducting due‑diligence and regular portfolio monitoring.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in private banking covering banking, fiduciary (trusts, foundations, offshore companies) and portfolio management.
• Deep knowledge of offshore jurisdictions such as Switzerland, UK, US, Jersey, Cayman Islands, BVI and UAE free zones.
• Strong understanding of retail, corporate and treasury‑based investment products, including derivatives and esoteric funds.
• Proven ability to generate new client relationships and grow assets under management in the NRI market.

Required skills

• Knowledge of anti‑money‑laundering, OFAC and KYC regulations for international private banking.
• Familiarity with offshore structuring and wealth‑protection vehicles (trusts, foundations, offshore companies).
