Director - School Transport Mobilization (UAE National)

About the role

A leading transportation organization in the UAE is looking for a Director of School Transport Mobilization. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end mobilisation and operational readiness of large‑scale school transport services, ensuring a smooth transition to steady‑state operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution and Go‑Live of large‑scale school transport operations.
• Develop mobilisation strategies, timelines, readiness plans and transition activities.
• Ensure fleet, drivers, supervisors, routes, stations, technology, safety and support functions are ready.
• Deploy large fleets and high‑volume workforces in line with operational requirements.
• Coordinate with schools, government entities, clients and internal stakeholders.
• Identify risks, implement mitigation and contingency plans.
• Establish and monitor operational readiness KPIs.
• Drive safety, service quality, compliance and customer experience.

Required profile

• Proven senior leadership experience in school transport, student transportation or large‑scale bus operations.
• Strong track record in mobilisation, transition, operational readiness or contract start‑up.
• Experience managing large fleets and high‑volume workforces.
• Deep understanding of route planning, scheduling, dispatch, control‑room operations, safety and compliance.
• Experience working with government entities, schools and multiple stakeholders.
• Strategic, commercial, operational and people‑leadership capabilities.
• Ability to lead complex mobilisation programmes to successful Go‑Live.
