Director – Strategic Accounts

About the role

Wood Mackenzie is seeking an experienced, commercially driven Director to lead its Strategic Accounts business across the UAE and Oman. The role will grow the consulting footprint with government bodies, national oil companies, ministries and local customers while leading the UAE‑based consulting team.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the lead client contact for strategic government and NOC relationships, including ADNOC, OQ and IGC.
• Develop and execute account strategies to increase revenue and influence with key public‑sector clients.
• Lead origination, structuring and commercial negotiation of major consulting engagements.
• Ensure delivery meets Wood Mackenzie’s standards and generates measurable impact.
• Lead and mentor the UAE consulting team, fostering a high‑performing, collaborative culture.
• Contribute to global Strategic Accounts and Consulting leadership, shape regional offerings, and represent the firm in industry forums.

Required profile

• 12+ years in consulting, strategy or leadership roles within energy or natural resources, with proven sales experience in the Middle East.
• Deep knowledge of UAE and broader Middle‑East government procurement and public‑sector business culture.
• Cross‑sectoral perspective across hydrocarbons, power, renewables and mining, with strong commercial credibility.
• Track record of owning sales targets and closing deals of $500K+.
• Fluency in English (Arabic optional) and a well‑developed network of public‑sector decision‑makers.
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and act as a trusted advisor.
