Dock Hand – Marina Operations

About the role

The Dock Hand will join the Marina team at Emirates Palace Mandarin Oriental, Abu Dhabi, providing high‑standard service to marina users while maintaining a safe, clean and tidy environment. This role supports both permanent and casual berth holders and works closely with the Berthing Master and Marina Operations Assistant Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Keep the marina clean, tidy and free of hazards.
• Inspect boats on the dock to ensure they are secure and safe.
• Assist customers with berthing, entry and exit of vessels.
• Provide efficient rubbish and recycling collection for guests.
• Support berth allocation for casual and permanent customers.
• Assist in towing vessels safely, preventing damage.
• Participate in rescue, salvage and fire‑fighting duties alongside waterfront staff.
• Offer complimentary trolley service to guests.

Required profile

• Strong commitment to safety, integrity and teamwork.
• Ability to work outdoors in a marine environment.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation.
• Physical fitness to handle manual tasks and boat handling.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of marina safety procedures.
• Experience with boat handling and towing equipment.
• Ability to operate rescue and fire‑fighting equipment.
