Duty Manager – Guest Services

About the role

The Duty Manager supports front‑of‑house operations by ensuring smooth guest check‑ins, handling payment issues, and coordinating with housekeeping and other departments. This full‑time position requires proactive problem‑solving and a strong focus on guest satisfaction in a busy Dubai hotel environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist staff with expediting problem payments and follow up with guests on satisfaction.
• Process all guest check‑ins, confirm reservations, assign rooms, and activate room keys.
• Handle all payment types (cash, credit, debit, checks) and set up accurate guest accounts.
• Anticipate sold‑out situations, secure alternative accommodations, and block rooms with special requests.
• Coordinate with housekeeping to track room readiness and resolve guest requests.
• Review shift logs, count cash at shift start/end, and balance receipts per accounting guidelines.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, and employee coaching.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related experience in hotel or guest services.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk for extended periods and lift objects up to 10 lb.
