Duty Manager - Guest Services

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton in Dubai is hiring a Duty Manager to handle guest check-ins, payments and billing, and to support the team and guests throughout their stay. The role covers front desk operations, cash handling, reporting and guest service, and includes assisting management in training and coaching staff.

Key responsibilities

• Process guest check-ins: verify identity and payment method, assign rooms, activate and issue keys, and set up accurate accounts and Marriott Rewards information
• Ensure rates match market codes, document exceptions, and secure payment before issuing keys; balance and drop receipts
• Complete cashier and closing reports, compile daily reports, logs and contingency lists, and process payments, vouchers, paid-outs and charges
• Notify Loss Prevention/Security of guest theft reports and follow accounting procedures
• Count and secure the bank at the start and end of shift, obtain manual authorizations and follow company policies
• Accommodate guest requests, give directions and property information, and welcome guests while anticipating their needs
• Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling and coaching employees, and act as a role model for the Open Door Policy
• Report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions, complete safety training, and protect company assets and confidential information

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• At least 1 year of related work experience
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience
• Ability to stand, sit or walk for long periods and lift objects up to 10 pounds
