Duty Manager – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Duty Manager will lead the guest service team at Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara, ensuring that every guest experience reflects the highest standards of Minor Hotels. This position requires a proactive approach to anticipate guest needs and maintain seamless operations across all hotel departments. The role is based on‑site at the luxury resort.

Key responsibilities

• Anticipate guest needs and handle inquiries in a helpful, attentive manner.
• Maintain complete knowledge of the hotel product, including rooms, rates, food and beverage outlets, spa, health club and other Minor Hotel properties.
• Oversee the service attitude delivered by the guest service team, ensuring it meets Minor Hotels’ standards at all times.
• Take personal responsibility for guest satisfaction issues and ensure timely follow‑up.
• Suggest innovative alternatives to meet guest needs and enhance their Minor Hotel experience.
• Develop close, harmonious working relationships with all hotel departments.
• Conduct daily shift briefings, relay information to team members and ensure smooth handovers.

Required profile

• Degree in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Work experience in the Middle East within 4‑ to 5‑star hotels, including supervisory roles in the Front Office.
• Excellent command of English (oral and written); Arabic is an advantage.
• Knowledge of the OPERA Cloud system.
• Highly organized, results‑oriented and able to work flexible hours in a fast‑paced environment.
