Early Years Teacher

About the role

We are seeking an attentive and proactive Early Years Teacher to join La Maluk Village, a new boutique early childhood development centre in Umm Suqeim 2, Dubai. The role involves creating a safe, friendly atmosphere for children aged 1.5‑5 years and supporting them through the centre’s opening and adaptation period.

Key responsibilities

• Organise daily life and educational activities for a group of 1.5‑5 year‑old children in line with EYFS principles and the centre’s internal programme.
• Deliver balanced coverage of the seven EYFS areas of learning and development.
• Plan and facilitate free play, group activities, individual work, walks, routine moments and transitions.
• Maintain strict adherence to internal rules, scripts and approved instructions.
• Create a safe, friendly environment that encourages independence, initiative and curiosity.
• Prepare and regularly update play and educational zones according to current themes and children’s interests.
• Support children during the adaptation period, building trusting relationships and ensuring emotional comfort.
• Conduct baseline observations and regular assessments of children’s progress, maintaining learning journals and records.

Required profile

• Specialised higher education – bachelor’s degree in early development, preschool education, pedagogy or a recognised Early Childhood qualification (e.g., Level 3 meeting KHDA requirements).
• Relevant experience in an early development institution, nursery, ECC or international educational environment (desirable).
• Understanding of EYFS principles.
• High level of English – fluent oral and written communication.
• Emotional stability, responsibility, attentiveness and accuracy when handling documents.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and maintain professional communication.
