Echo Technician – Cardiovascular Technologist

About the role

The Echo Technician (Cardiovascular Technologist) prepares patients and diagnostic equipment for cardiovascular procedures, explains the procedures to patients, and assists physicians in interpreting imaging data.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients and diagnostic equipment for cardiovascular procedures.
• Explain procedures to patients and obtain their consent.
• Assist physicians in interpreting imaging data and determine which images should be saved.
• Coordinate with the billing team and insurance staff to ensure smooth flow of required information and approvals.
• Follow departmental policies, continuous quality improvement objectives, and MOH regulations.
• Maintain all procedure‑related records and monitor expiry of items for proper disposal.
• Provide patient care that optimizes safety and reduces medical errors.
• Maintain the computerized stock system and update inventory levels in the assigned area.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Cardiac Technology (preferred).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Cardiovascular Technologist.
• Strong organizational, planning and computer skills.
• High motivation, self‑discipline and ability to follow instructions accurately.
