EFL Teacher – Intervention & Support (Immediate Hire)

About the role

Virginia American School is seeking enthusiastic English as a Foreign Language (EFL) teachers to join its Intervention & Support team. The role is full‑time and focused on helping non‑native speakers develop confidence across all language domains.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons covering reading, writing, speaking, listening, grammar and vocabulary.
• Assess learners' proficiency, provide constructive feedback and track progress.
• Create an inclusive classroom atmosphere that motivates participation.
• Develop and utilise teaching materials such as textbooks, digital tools and multimedia resources.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to align curriculum and coordinate activities.
• Communicate regularly with students, parents and stakeholders about performance and program outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in education or a related field.
• Valid TEFL certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience teaching English to non‑native speakers, ideally in an international setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities across diverse cultures.
• Flexibility and adaptability to evolving classroom needs.
• Comfort with integrating technology into language instruction.
