Electrical Design Engineer – Lead to Designer Roles

About the role

Archirodon Group is seeking experienced electrical engineering professionals for multiple positions in its Oil & Gas projects in Dubai. Roles range from Lead Design Engineer to Electrical Designer, offering opportunities to lead design activities or contribute to detailed engineering work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise electrical design activities, review and approve deliverables such as single‑line diagrams, load schedules, cable sizing, equipment layouts and protection schemes.
• Prepare detailed electrical designs, calculations, load lists, equipment specifications and perform power system studies (load flow, short‑circuit, motor starting, protection coordination).
• Develop electrical drawings, 2D/3D layouts, cable schedules and lighting, earthing and small‑power designs using CAD/SmartPlant Electrical or equivalent.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, manage project schedules, vendor document reviews and ensure compliance with ADNOC, IEC, IEEE, NEC and NFPA standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Diploma for Designer role).
• Minimum 12‑15 years experience for Lead, 10‑12 years for Senior, 8‑10 years for Design Engineer, 5‑10 years for Designer, preferably on ADNOC projects.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO, IEC, IEEE, NEC, NFPA).
• Excellent communication, vendor coordination and teamwork skills.

Required skills

• Electrical design software (CAD, SmartPlant Electrical).
• Power system analysis tools for load flow, short‑circuit and protection coordination.
• Experience with transformers, switchgear, MCCs, UPS, lighting, earthing and cathodic protection systems.
• Familiarity with ADNOC standards and client specifications.
