Electrical Designer & Engineer - Oil & Gas

About the role

PES Engineering, part of the Engineering Division of PES (founded in 1979), is looking for a skilled Electrical Engineer to join its Oil and Gas engineering team. You will carry out complex electrical engineering tasks, deliver high-quality technical documentation and contribute to large-scale energy projects from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams, electrical schematics, material take-offs, electrical layouts and installation details.
• Create panel schedules and interconnection drawings.
• Build and manage 3D models of electrical equipment, cable trays, lighting systems and related components.
• Manage the 3D library and attributes in line with client standards and project requirements.
• Compile weight control reports for the electrical discipline, including bulk materials.
• Take part in 3D model reviews with clients and run lighting calculations to optimise illumination.
• Manage assigned tasks independently and meet project deadlines.

Required profile

• Experience preparing SLDs, schematics, MTOs, layouts, installation details, panel schedules and interconnection drawings.
• Strong experience developing 3D models of electrical equipment, cable trays and lighting systems, including library and attribute management.
• Experience preparing electrical weight control reports.
• Advantageous: 3D model reviews with clients, independent task management and lighting calculations.
