Electrical Engineer – Construction & MEP Projects

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Electrical Engineer to join our on‑site team in Umm Al Quwain. The role focuses on designing, reviewing and modifying electrical systems for civil, architectural and MEP projects, ensuring compliance with all relevant codes and standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review electrical system layouts, schematics and technical drawings.
• Perform load calculations, short‑circuit analysis and coordination of power distribution.
• Prepare specifications, documentation and calculation reports for design and construction phases.
• Support project teams during installation, testing, commissioning and hand‑over.
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, mechanical engineers and site crews to resolve technical issues.
• Participate in inspections, ensure safety compliance and contribute to continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Minimum of 1 month experience in construction or MEP environments (junior level).
• Understanding of electrical codes, standards and basic engineering principles.
