Electrical Inspector - Villa Construction Project

About the role

KN International is seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector for a villa construction project in Liwa, Western Region, Abu Dhabi. The role involves inspecting and monitoring electrical installation works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, quality standards and applicable regulations. Candidates must have relevant UAE experience in villa or building construction, electrical installations and site inspection.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect electrical installation works in villas and buildings against approved drawings, specifications and project requirements.
• Check electrical systems such as power distribution, wiring, lighting, switches, sockets, distribution boards and associated equipment.
• Inspect electrical containment systems including conduits, trunking, cable trays and cable installations.
• Verify the installation of electrical equipment and the quality of workmanship.
• Review and respond to Inspection Requests (IRs) submitted by contractors.
• Identify defects and non-conformities, prepare inspection reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and risk assessments for electrical works.
• Monitor electrical testing and commissioning activities.
• Ensure compliance with UAE regulations, authority requirements, project specifications and HSE standards.
• Maintain records of site inspections, daily activities, testing results and quality issues.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors and other stakeholders and attend progress meetings.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical inspection, including villa/building construction projects in the UAE.
• Experience in site inspections, quality control and electrical testing procedures.
• Familiarity with UAE electrical regulations, authority requirements, construction standards and project specifications.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
