Electrical QA/QC Engineer

About the role

The Electrical QA/QC Engineer will ensure that all electrical installations meet project quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves reviewing design documents, conducting inspections, and supporting commissioning activities on construction sites in Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Review and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Conduct inspections and testing of cable laying, terminations, panels, transformers, switchgear, and lighting systems.
• Prepare and maintain inspection test plans (ITPs), method statements, and quality control procedures.
• Coordinate with site engineers, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve quality‑related issues.
• Maintain records of inspections, test results, non‑conformances, and corrective actions.
• Support commissioning activities and ensure proper documentation of test reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of QA/QC experience on electrical systems in construction or power projects.
• Familiarity with international standards (IEC, NEC, IEEE) and local regulations.
• Experience handling QA/QC documentation, audits, and NCR closure.

Required skills

• Interpretation of electrical drawings and specifications.
• Inspection and testing of electrical installations (cables, panels, transformers, switchgear, lighting).
• Development of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and method statements.
• Knowledge of IEC, NEC, and IEEE standards.
• QA/QC documentation and audit procedures.
