Electrical Site Engineer – Water Treatment Projects

About the role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Site Engineer to lead electrical system design, testing and site execution for water treatment projects in Dubai. The role involves preparing technical submittals, coordinating with suppliers, overseeing installations and ensuring compliance with standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and prepare electrical technical submittals such as single line diagrams, schematics, BOQs, cable lists and lighting & power plans.
• Develop the electrical section of the Operation and Maintenance Manual and prepare test documentation (FAT, SAT, Mega Ohm, continuity, loop and functional tests).
• Send RFQs to suppliers, negotiate terms, coordinate approvals and manage supplier communications.
• Program micro‑relays (LOGO, Zelio) and, where required, PLCs.
• Oversee electrical installations on‑site, troubleshoot issues and ensure work complies with local regulations and safety standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of UAE experience in electrical engineering, preferably in water treatment or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical design, testing procedures and documentation.
• Experience preparing RFQs, coordinating suppliers and managing project execution.
• UAE driving licence preferred.

Required skills

• AutoCAD and other electrical design software.
• PLC programming (experience with LOGO, Zelio is an advantage).
• Micro‑relay programming.
• Conducting FAT, SAT, Mega Ohm, continuity, loop and functional tests.
• Knowledge of applicable electrical standards and safety regulations.
