Electrical Site Engineer – Water Treatment Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Engineer to support the execution of electrical works for water and wastewater treatment projects in Dubai. The role involves hands‑on site coordination from installation through commissioning on new/greenfield sites.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and supervise electrical works on water and wastewater treatment sites, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and safety standards.
• Prepare and review technical submittals such as single line diagrams, schematics, BOQs, cable lists and load schedules.
• Support the preparation of the electrical section of Operation & Maintenance Manuals and maintain accurate as‑built documentation.
• Conduct and witness electrical testing activities including FAT, SAT, Megger, continuity, loop and functional tests.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors for RFQs, material approvals and site deliveries.
• Oversee installation, glanding, termination, routing and testing of panels, cable management, lighting, earthing, UPS and instrumentation.
• Assist in micro‑relay programming (LOGO, Zelio) and support PLC/HMI/SCADA commissioning where required.
• Troubleshoot site issues and ensure coordination with project managers, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–7 years of site‑based experience in electrical installation, testing and commissioning within water or wastewater treatment projects.
• Proven experience on new/greenfield water‑treatment or industrial sites, setting up complete electrical systems from scratch.
• Ability to work independently on construction sites and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
• UAE driving licence preferred but not mandatory.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience across the full electrical scope (lighting, earthing, panels, instrumentation, fire systems, UPS, cabling, glanding, termination).
• Electrical testing and commissioning expertise (FAT, SAT, Megger, loop testing, functional testing).
• Exposure to PLC/HMI/SCADA commissioning.
• Micro‑relay programming (LOGO, Zelio).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and preparation of electrical documentation (single line diagrams, schematics, BOQs, cable lists, load schedules).
