Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) – Dredger Operations

About the role

We are looking for an Electrical Technical Officer (ETO) to operate, maintain and troubleshoot all electrical, electronic and control systems on a dredger based in Abu Dhabi. The role ensures safe and efficient operation of dredging equipment and supports vessel power generation and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot electrical, electronic and control systems onboard the dredger.
• Ensure safe and efficient functioning of dredging equipment such as pumps, motors and winches.
• Monitor and maintain power generation and distribution systems, including switchboards and protection devices.
• Carry out planned maintenance system (PMS) tasks and report completion status.
• Assist in fault finding and rectification of electrical and automation systems, including PLC, SCADA and instrumentation.
• Support dry‑dock activities, inspections and testing of electrical equipment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics.
• STCW certification and ETO licence.
• 3‑5 years of onboard experience on a dredger.
