Electrical Technician – Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel

About the role

Avani Ibn Battuta Dubai Hotel is looking for a detail‑oriented Electrical Technician to install, maintain and repair electrical systems across the property while ensuring compliance with UAE safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect and maintain wiring, equipment and systems according to technical specifications and local codes.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctions using multimeters, oscilloscopes and circuit testers.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimise downtime and optimise performance.
• Analyse circuit diagrams, blueprints and technical documentation to identify issues.
• Repair or replace faulty components, wiring and equipment with precision.
• Conduct electrical testing and inspections to verify functionality and safety compliance.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to coordinate schedules and ensure project completion.
• Adhere to all workplace safety protocols and use appropriate personal protective equipment.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of hands‑on experience in electrical maintenance, installation or repair.
• Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and circuit testers.
• Strong knowledge of UAE electrical codes and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and blueprints.
• Competency with hand tools and power tools commonly used in electrical work.
• Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
• Valid electrical certification or licence (preferred).
• Commitment to workplace safety and preventive maintenance practices.
