Electrical Technician I – Food & Consumer Tech

About the role

Join MBRF, one of the world’s largest food companies, as an Electrical Technician I in Abu Dhabi. You will be responsible for maintaining electrical and control systems across the production area, ensuring high‑quality operations and compliance with safety and food‑safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve all electrical and control breakdowns within the assigned area.
• Perform corrective, preventive, and scheduled maintenance following the Kanban system.
• Coordinate with the broader maintenance team on continuous‑improvement projects.
• Maintain compliance with HSE, HACCP, GMP, 5S, and BRF sustainability policies.
• Reduce mean time to repair (MTTR) by providing effective on‑line support.

Required profile

• Experience in electrical maintenance within the food/FMCG industry.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and pneumatic/hydraulic schematics.
• Knowledge of local electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Basic understanding of food technology, food safety, and asset‑management practices.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural team.

Required skills

• Electrical controls, power circuits and automation circuits.
• Troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Interpretation of engineering drawings, P&IDs and schematics.
• Familiarity with SAP and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Use of analytical tools such as PDCA, RCA and 5S.
