Electrical Technician – Maintenance (Dubai)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Technician to join our maintenance team in Dubai, responsible for ensuring reliable operation of plant electrical equipment through installation, repair, and troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to breakdowns of LV‑MV motors, LV switchboards, MCCs, plant lighting, transformers, UPS, VFDs, breakers and soft starters.
• Carry out planned, preventive and predictive maintenance with minimal supervision.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical failures, order spare parts via SAP and maintain accurate maintenance records.
• Ensure work complies with safety procedures and EHS standards, and keep work areas clean.
• Monitor recurring issues and recommend modifications to improve equipment reliability.
• Provide guidance to junior electricians, trainees and contractors.
• Support other departments with equipment repair and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Diploma in a relevant electrical field and completion of PEC Craft Training.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical maintenance within a heavy‑industry environment.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with maintenance tools and basic IT skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, manuals and instructions.
