Electrician – Hotel Maintenance (Downtown Dubai)

About the role

The Electrician will respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive and corrective maintenance across the hotel’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. This role ensures a safe, functional environment for guests and supports the overall operation of the St. Regis Downtown Dubai.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests, communicate solutions, and document daily activities.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning, lubrication, and visual inspections.
• Identify, locate, and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts, and manage supplies needed for repairs.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair electrical components, plumbing fixtures, HVAC filters, lighting, and other guestroom items.
• Execute surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs, and complete clean‑up of work areas.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform interior and exterior landscaping repairs, including sprinkler system maintenance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation, and painting; hotel engineering experience is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift/move objects up to 50 lb unaided and heavier items with assistance; comfortable working on stairs, ladders, and at various heights.
