Electrician

About the role

The Hotel Electrician will join the engineering & facilities team at W Hotels in Dubai, providing prompt maintenance support to guests and ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical and related systems throughout the property.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and resolve maintenance issues quickly.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Inspect, identify and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Communicate daily activities and any problems to the next shift using approved procedures.
• Carry out basic repairs: replace light bulbs, A/C filters, electrical switches/outlets, plumbing fixtures, paint, minor drywall and wood‑trim work.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping, including sprinkler systems.
• Enter air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings via computer.
• Follow all safety, security and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents promptly.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to acquire additional technical knowledge on the job.
• Basic computer skills for schedule input and inventory tracking.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality and respect for company assets.
