Electrician – Luxury Hotel (Dubai)

About the role

Join the engineering team of a luxury hotel in Dubai as an Electrician. You will ensure all electrical systems operate safely and reliably, supporting the guest experience and hotel operations.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems in accordance with code.
• Perform preventive maintenance, testing and cleaning of power and lighting equipment for exhibitions, meetings and banquets.
• Complete maintenance work orders from all departments and respond to guest calls, complaints and emergency situations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly engineering area and coordinate with other engineering staff for smooth operation.
• Report safety hazards and ensure compliance with Dorchester Collection policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a 2‑year trade course with relevant certification/licensure.
• At least 3 years of facility‑management experience, including 1 year in an international 5‑star luxury hotel.
• Minimum 2 years hands‑on experience as an electrician; pre‑opening experience is a plus.
• Ability to read building, air‑conditioning, refrigeration and electrical drawings.
• Strong analytical and critical‑thinking skills, able to work independently and within a team.
• Fluent English and excellent communication with a customer‑service focus.
