Elevator Technician – Maintenance & Service

About the role

JIL Lifts & Escalators Contracting LLC is seeking an experienced Elevator Technician to join its UAE team. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, routine servicing, and rapid response to breakdowns of elevators and escalators.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and routine maintenance of elevators and escalators
• Attend breakdowns and emergency service calls
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system faults
• Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements
• Ensure elevators operate safely and efficiently
• Conduct inspections and identify potential technical issues
• Read and understand electrical/technical drawings and manuals
• Prepare service and maintenance reports
• Follow company safety procedures and UAE site safety requirements
• Coordinate with supervisors, engineers, and clients when required

Required profile

• Minimum 2–5 years of relevant elevator maintenance/service experience
• Strong knowledge of elevator mechanical and electrical systems
• Experience in troubleshooting and breakdown maintenance
• Ability to read electrical drawings and technical manuals
• Knowledge of elevator safety systems and components
• Experience with major elevator brands (advantage)
• ITI/Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical field (preferred)
• UAE experience (preferred)
• UAE driving license (advantage)
• Good communication and teamwork skills
