Embedded Systems Engineer – Firmware Development

About the role

We are seeking a mid‑level Embedded Systems Engineer to design, develop, test and optimise firmware for next‑generation electronic and connected products.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded firmware for microcontrollers, processors and hardware platforms using C/C++.
• Implement and optimise communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB and Ethernet.
• Develop drivers and software components for sensors, peripherals and other hardware modules.
• Perform debugging and validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, JTAG/SWD debuggers and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing.
• Collaborate with hardware, QA, manufacturing and product teams to resolve integration issues and support product qualification.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Proven experience in embedded firmware development and hardware‑software integration.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets and technical specifications.

Required skills

• C and C++ programming.
• ARM Cortex‑M microcontrollers and RTOS concepts.
• Communication protocols: UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, USB, Ethernet.
• Debugging tools: JTAG, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, SWD.
• Version control with Git.
• Embedded Linux, bootloaders, device drivers (advantageous).
