Emerging Markets Tax Manager – Dubai

About the role

Deloitte is looking for a dynamic Manager to join its Emerging Markets team in Dubai. The role focuses on driving business development and establishing strategic partnerships across key emerging markets, including Iraq, Libya and selected African countries. You will combine deep tax expertise with strong relationship‑building skills to help clients navigate complex tax environments.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic plans to expand Deloitte’s presence in targeted emerging markets.
• Identify new business opportunities and forge partnerships aligned with growth objectives.
• Lead market‑research initiatives to inform business‑development strategies and pinpoint potential clients.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with clients, government officials and key stakeholders in the region.
• Provide tax advisory support, ensuring clients comply with local regulations while optimizing tax costs.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development within tax, professional services or consulting.
• Strong understanding of direct, business and international tax concepts.
• Demonstrated ability to work in complex, high‑growth environments.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of direct, business and international tax regulations.
• Ability to conduct market research and analyse emerging‑market dynamics.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills relevant to target markets are a plus.
