Emirati National Architect

About the role

WSP in the Middle East is looking for a talented, detail-oriented and innovative Emirati architect to join its Architecture team in Sharjah. The role contributes to the design and delivery of high-profile, sustainable and future-focused projects across many sectors, in a collaborative multidisciplinary environment. You will support concept development, design coordination, technical documentation and project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Support concept, schematic and detailed architectural designs for diverse project types
• Produce drawings, BIM models, visualizations and presentations with industry-standard software
• Collaborate with structural, MEP, sustainability and other engineering teams
• Prepare design reports, technical specifications and documentation for each project stage
• Take part in site visits, inspections, surveys and compliance checks
• Support senior architects and project managers in delivering project packages on time and to quality standards
• Take part in design reviews, stakeholder meetings and coordination workshops
• Research materials, technologies, building codes and design trends
• Ensure work follows WSP's quality management, governance and documentation procedures

Required profile

• UAE national with a valid family book
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
• 3-5 years of experience in an architectural or design consultancy
• Strong portfolio showing creative design thinking and technical capability
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills; Arabic is an advantage but not required
• Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and meet tight deadlines

Required skills

• Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Lumion, Enscape or equivalent
• Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) preferred
• Familiarity with local building codes and Middle Eastern project delivery frameworks is beneficial
