Engagement Manager / Principal – Government & Media Sector

About the role

Oliver Wyman is seeking an experienced Engagement Manager/Principal to lead project teams in the Government and Public Institutions sector, focusing on Creative Industries, Media and Video Gaming. You will drive strategic problem‑solving, manage day‑to‑day project execution and build trusted advisory relationships with senior government and industry leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary project teams from hypothesis generation through solution convergence, ensuring practical and cohesive recommendations.
• Act as a trusted advisor to senior clients, influencing strategic thinking and delivering high‑impact transformations.
• Oversee commercial aspects of engagements, identify new business opportunities and contribute to thought leadership.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of experience at a top‑tier strategy consulting firm.
• Demonstrated expertise in media, creative industries or video gaming, preferably within the GCC.
• Experience advising government entities on regulatory and sector development mandates.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic is a plus.
