Engineer, Process Automation

About the role

The Engineer, Process Automation will support system maintenance, technical development, and project implementation for real‑time process and laboratory information management systems across ADNOC plants.

Key responsibilities

• Assess existing telemetry, ICS/DCS, process control and laboratory management systems for obsolescence, spare‑part availability and compliance with company and international standards.
• Audit system performance, identify monitoring opportunities and drive improvements.
• Develop and update technical specifications, economic feasibility studies, functional designs, as‑built documentation and user manuals.
• Coordinate with site maintenance, vendors and plant personnel for support, modifications, upgrades and commissioning.
• Provide expertise in optimization, alarm management, control‑loop performance monitoring and higher‑level MES applications.
• Prepare scopes of work, tender documents and participate in technical bid evaluations.
• Plan, supervise and train staff, manage budgets and ensure compliance with HSE, sustainability and corporate policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Electrical, Controls or Automation engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in design, installation, commissioning, operation and maintenance of automation systems in a large industrial (preferably oil & gas) environment.
