Engineering Basic Instructor (B2) – Aviation Training

About the role

Emirates Engineering is seeking an Engineering Basic Instructor (B2) to deliver GCAA and EASA approved basic aircraft maintenance training at its state‑of‑the‑art Maintenance Centre in Dubai. The instructor will guide trainees through both classroom theory and hands‑on workshops, preparing them for the Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licence (AMEL).

Key responsibilities

• Deliver ab‑initio classroom instruction covering GCAA CAR 66 and EASA standards.
• Organise and conduct practical sessions in sheet‑metal, welding, composite repair, machining, engine and airframe systems workshops.
• Prepare and administer module and sub‑module examinations in line with CAR 66 and CAR 147 requirements.
• Monitor trainee progress, discipline, welfare and provide counselling as needed.
• Analyse post‑course evaluations and recommend improvements to the Engineering Basic Training Manager.
• Coordinate with overhaul, line and base maintenance departments for trainee postings.

Required profile

• Strong background in aircraft maintenance with hands‑on experience in sheet‑metal, welding, composite repair and machining.
• Familiarity with UAE GCAA CAR 66, CAR 147 and EASA regulations.
• Ability to plan, organise and deliver technical training programmes.
• Excellent communication skills and a commitment to trainee safety and development.
