Engineering Design Officer

About the role

Join Emirates Engineering Design Organisation in Dubai, supporting the development of approved design data for aircraft changes, modifications and minor repairs. You will work with highly skilled engineers, manufacturers and key stakeholders to deliver safe, compliant engineering solutions for a world‑class fleet.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering drawings using 2D and 3D CAD tools for aircraft changes and repairs.
• Prepare design and substantiation data, compliance documentation and certification test plans in line with EASA Part‑21J, GCAA CAR‑21 and Emirates Design Organisation Handbook.
• Interpret OEM data (aircraft manuals, parts catalogues, wiring diagrams) for Airbus and Boeing platforms.
• Provide on‑site support during implementation of changes, maintaining checklists and documentation.
• Collaborate with vendors, MROs, regulatory authorities and internal stakeholders to create engineering solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or Higher Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years aerospace experience, including at least 2 years on repairs and modifications for transport‑category aircraft.
• Experience within an EASA Part‑21J or GCAA CAR‑21 Design Organisation is preferred.
• Familiarity with wide‑body aircraft, especially Emirates fleet types, is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD or CATIA.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project).
• Understanding of EASA Part‑21J, GCAA CAR‑21, CS‑25, CS‑26 regulatory requirements.
