Engineering Faculty – Electrical & Electronics

About the role

We are seeking a full‑time faculty member for the Engineering Faculty, specializing in Electrical and Electronics, to deliver high‑quality instruction to second‑language learners and contribute to the academic community at Higher Colleges of Technology.

Key responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in Electrical and Electronics engineering using practical, applied approaches aligned with syllabus and program goals.
• Develop and integrate educational technology resources and innovative instructional methodologies.
• Provide continuous assessment, feedback, and monitoring of student progress through tests, projects, assignments and other evaluation tools.
• Advise and mentor students, including support during internships, at‑risk action plans, and regular office hours.
• Conduct applied research relevant to the faculty’s interests and national innovation priorities, and present findings at conferences.
• Participate in faculty, program, campus and system‑wide committees, and serve as sponsor or adviser to student groups.
• Maintain teaching facilities, prepare course assessment files, and contribute to curriculum revision and quality assurance processes.
• Coach and mentor junior staff, support recruitment and development of UAE nationals, and promote organizational resilience practices.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, or a Master’s degree with professional certification and at least 5 years of combined teaching and industry experience; a Bachelor’s degree with extensive industry experience may also be considered.
• Minimum of 3 years teaching experience in the relevant discipline.
• Preferably 3 years of relevant industry experience.
• Experience developing curricula that meet accreditation and international standards.
• Proven ability to incorporate educational technology into teaching and assessment strategies.
