Engineering Operations Specialist - Consumer

About the role

Kraken’s Engineering Operations team powers the Consumer group by building automations, tracking, and metrics that keep engineering teams aligned and focused on delivery. As an Engineering Operations Specialist you will reduce manual work, improve visibility, and turn repeatable processes into reliable software solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and improve processes and tooling that remove friction for engineering teams.
• Leverage AI and automation to solve real problems for the teams you support.
• Administer Jira and Confluence, including configuration, workflows, permissions, and automations.
• Manage the triage and intake process to ensure work is properly routed and meets standards.
• Maintain healthy roadmaps and run weekly delivery reporting for leadership.
• Ensure the quality of engineering metrics data, including team definitions, ownership records, and tool configuration.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in operations, process, or tooling roles with a track record of shipping meaningful solutions.
• Hands‑on Jira administration experience covering boards, workflows, schemas, permissions, and custom fields.
• Deliberate use of AI in day‑to‑day work, knowing when and how to apply it.
• Systematic thinking to understand how processes and systems interconnect.
• Ability to translate vague stakeholder requests into scoped work and to decline when appropriate.
• Strong written communication skills for clear documentation.
• Genuine interest in internal tooling, developer experience, and continuous learning.
