English Language Teacher (American Curriculum)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICS) Al Mushrif Branch is seeking a qualified English Language Teacher to deliver American Curriculum instruction for Cycle 2 (Grades 5‑8) and Cycle 3 (Grades 9‑12). The successful candidate will create a supportive learning environment that promotes literacy, critical thinking, and a love of literature.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging English Language Arts lessons aligned with the Common Core State Standards.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and adapt instruction to diverse learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student success.
• Integrate technology and digital resources to enhance learning outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English, English Literature, Education or related field; Master’s or teaching diploma preferred.
• Valid UAE teaching license.
• Minimum 2‑3 years of full‑time teaching experience in an American curriculum setting.
• Proven ability to foster an inclusive classroom environment.

• Expertise in instructional methodologies such as differentiated instruction and inquiry‑based learning.
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital learning tools.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting student data and planning instruction.
