English Teacher (ASAP start) – Dubai

About the role

GEMS FirstPoint School in Dubai is looking for an enthusiastic English Teacher to join its vibrant community as soon as possible. The role involves delivering the British curriculum to students from Year 7 to Year 13 and may include opportunities for middle‑leadership responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging English lessons aligned with the British curriculum and GCSE requirements.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback and prepare students for examinations.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities, pastoral care and collaborative projects.
• Potentially take on additional duties such as Curriculum Leadership, Head of Year, ECA Coordination or Head of Careers.

Required profile

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English or a related subject.
• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS or equivalent).
• Proven experience teaching English within the British curriculum, including GCSE.
• Strong subject knowledge, a passion for inclusive education and excellent communication skills.
