English Teacher for Cycle 2 & 3 (American Curriculum)

About the role

International Community Schools (ICSchools) in Al Falah City is seeking a motivated English Teacher for Cycle 2 and Cycle 3, delivering the American curriculum to primary and middle‑school students. The role focuses on creating an engaging, supportive learning environment that promotes academic success and a love of learning.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver lessons aligned with American curriculum standards, fostering intellectual, social and emotional growth.
• Create a safe, supportive classroom where students feel encouraged to participate and explore.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents, and implement individualized strategies for diverse learning needs.
• Promote a collaborative, inclusive classroom culture and manage behaviour positively.
• Participate in professional development, staff meetings and collaborative planning sessions.
• Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and challenges.
• Integrate technology and innovative teaching practices to enhance learning outcomes.
• Support extracurricular activities and contribute to school events as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English or a related field.
• Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed. or equivalent).
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience, preferably within the American curriculum.
• Strong commitment to student development and academic excellence.
• Native‑level or near‑native English proficiency.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of the American curriculum and ability to adapt it for an international context.
• Expertise in designing clear, focused, and achievable lesson plans.
• Effective classroom management and behaviour management techniques.
• Ability to tailor teaching strategies to diverse learning styles, abilities and cultural backgrounds.
• Skilled in assessing student performance, providing constructive feedback and using assessment data to guide instruction.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with students, parents and colleagues.
