English Teacher for Middle School (Grades 6‑7) – Immediate Start

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher for Seer Bani Yas Charter School in Abu Dhabi, teaching Grades 6 and 7 on an immediate start basis. The school follows an American‑based curriculum for 617 Emirati boys and offers a broad range of extracurricular activities.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging English lessons that meet the US curriculum and MOE requirements.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, support staff and parents to optimise student outcomes.
• Maintain classroom environment, manage behaviour and use data from assessments to inform future planning.
• Participate in curriculum action groups, school events and weekly extracurricular activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• 1‑2 years of teaching experience, preferably with learners for whom English is not the first language.
• Commitment to the well‑being of children, professionalism and respect for a diverse school community.
• Clean enhanced DBS/police check.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the US middle‑school English curriculum.
• Ability to organise classroom resources and create an engaging learning environment.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
