English Teacher - Muna British Academy (AY27/28)

About the role

Aldar Education is recruiting an English teacher for Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi, starting in the 2027-2028 academic year. The academy, which has held an Outstanding ADEK rating since 2015, recently moved to a new campus in the Saadiyat Lagoons community and now welcomes students from FS1 to Year 9, with plans to extend to Year 13.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English Language and English Literature across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A Level pathways, with a balanced timetable
• Plan and deliver lessons and schemes of work aligned with the UK National Curriculum and examination board specifications, fostering literacy, analytical thinking and performance skills
• Prepare students for IGCSE and A Level English qualifications, including assessment guidance, feedback and moderation
• Support EAL, SEN (POD) and G&T learners through differentiation and inclusive practice
• Manage behaviour positively, support pastoral care and safeguarding, and build good relationships with students and parents
• Take part in school productions, assemblies, ECA clubs and departmental planning and professional development

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• At least 2 years teaching the English National Curriculum
• Mandatory experience in an international school and with EAL students
• Ability to work with a range of stakeholders and communicate professionally with parents in a multicultural environment
