English Teacher – Start Jan 2027

About the role

Aldar Education is seeking a qualified English Teacher to join its network of schools in Abu Dhabi, beginning in January 2027. The role involves creating a nurturing, play‑based learning environment that inspires curiosity and supports students’ academic, social and personal development.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality English lessons aligned with the English National Curriculum, ensuring clear objectives, targets and differentiation for SEN, EAL and gifted students.
• Utilise assessment data and ICT tools to monitor progress, inform planning and enhance learning outcomes.
• Maintain classroom discipline in line with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy and uphold high standards of punctuality, behaviour and homework.
• Mark student work regularly, set progress targets and provide constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with specialists such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists and educational psychologists as required.
• Prepare and present reports to parents and participate in parent‑student events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Proven teaching experience with the English National Curriculum.
• Experience teaching across a range of ages and ability levels.
• Commitment to continuous professional development (CPD).
• Desirable: experience in multiple international schools.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of the UK/English National Curriculum.
• Ability to differentiate instruction for SEN, EAL and gifted learners.
• Effective use of ICT to support and enhance learning.
• Resilience and problem‑solving under pressure.
