Environmental Laboratory Technician

About the role

Carry out field sample collections and transport, perform daily environmental radiochemistry laboratory checks, prepare samples and supplies, and keep the laboratory operating at a high level. The role also includes implementing and operating the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support lab activities.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to support laboratory operations.
• Implement and follow procedures for preparing, collecting and processing environmental radiochemistry samples.
• Monitor, file and resolve corrective actions related to laboratory issues.
• Collect and transport field samples for laboratory analysis.
• Perform standard activities in line with health, safety, security and quality management procedures.

Required profile

• Diploma (minimum) with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Physics, Biology or Engineering (preferred).
• SCUBA diving certification (preferred).
• Experience in an industrial radiochemistry laboratory, preferably within the nuclear power sector (preferred).
