Estimation Engineer - Fit-Out & Interior Projects

About the role

An experienced Estimation Engineer is sought by Moov Construction Solutions to join its team in Dubai. The role covers preparing accurate cost estimates, quotations, tender submissions and commercial proposals for fit-out and interior projects, with hands-on involvement in material submittals and coordination with suppliers, manufacturers, consultants and project teams.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and quotations for fit-out and interior projects
• Review drawings, specifications, BOQs and tender documents to understand project requirements
• Prepare quantity take-offs and obtain competitive quotations from suppliers and subcontractors
• Compare quotations and prepare cost comparison sheets
• Prepare and submit commercial proposals and tender documents
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers on prices, specifications, availability and lead times
• Prepare material submittals including technical datasheets, samples, compliance certificates and test reports
• Coordinate with consultants and project teams for material approvals and technical requirements
• Maintain records of quotations, submittals, approvals and revisions
• Support the project team with technical and commercial clarifications, and assist with variations, additional works and cost analysis

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in estimation/quantity surveying, preferably in the UAE fit-out/interior construction industry
• Strong knowledge of interior fit-out works such as ceilings, partitions, acoustic works, wall finishes, flooring and joinery
• Experience preparing material submittals and technical submissions
• Good understanding of UAE construction practices and market rates
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders or projects at once; candidates who have dealt with consultants, main contractors, suppliers and manufacturers are preferred
