About the role
The Estimator will support the Estimating Manager in preparing realistic and competitive cost estimates for labour and materials, enabling senior management to assess project viability and tender participation.
Key responsibilities
- Procure labour and material costs, vet price quotations and present competitive estimates to management.
- Prepare post‑award job summaries detailing labour, material quantities, quality and specifications.
- Assist the Estimating Manager in implementing cost‑effective estimating processes in coordination with the Quantity Surveying department.
- Finalize tenders using the CCS system.
- Prepare estimates for client/consultant approval of variations arising from drawing changes.
- Develop BOQs from drawings, price them and submit for approval.
- Support the Chief Estimator in drafting final cost reports to assess job profitability.
Required profile
- Higher Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
- 2‑3 years experience in large construction or interior fit‑out projects.
