Experienced Commodities Trader

About the role

DV Commodities, a division of the DV Group, is seeking an experienced trader to own P&L across one or more energy business lines. You will work in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment, collaborating with senior traders and risk teams to drive profitable trading strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Own and grow P&L for assigned energy commodities, including crude oil, natural gas, power, emissions, metals and agricultural products.
• Build and maintain fundamental and quantitative trading models, ensuring compliance with risk‑management metrics.
• Collaborate side‑by‑side with senior energy traders to share best practices and learn proprietary methodologies.
• Identify new trading opportunities and expand existing positions while adhering to risk limits.

Required profile

• Proven experience in energy or commodities trading, with a track record of historical P&L.
• Self‑starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to thrive under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong analytical mindset with deep understanding of mathematics, probability and statistics.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and VBA.
• Experience with SQL and Python for statistical modeling.
• Ability to develop and maintain quantitative trading models.
