Expert Artificial Intelligence

About the role

This role provides expert advice and specialist support for implementing artificial intelligence and business intelligence strategy and governance, in line with the Department's vision and institutional objectives. It also contributes to developing, validating, deploying and monitoring machine learning models, advanced data science and predictive analytics solutions so that they can generate actionable insights and support strategic decision-making.

Key responsibilities

• Advise on and help implement AI and business intelligence strategy and governance, working with the Digital Planning and Innovation Department.
• Develop and validate custom AI, deep learning and machine learning models using structured, unstructured and geospatial data.
• Run exploratory data analysis, feature engineering and model evaluation to ensure accuracy, fairness, robustness and performance.
• Apply predictive analytics, NLP and computer vision to support intelligent solutions and operational decisions.
• Define model metrics and monitoring tools to track post-deployment performance such as drift, bias and latency, and run periodic outcome reviews.
• Collect and analyse data from multiple sources with the Data Department, ensuring its quality and integrity.
• Build analytical tools, reports and dashboards, including Power BI and Tableau.
• Advise on data privacy, responsible data use and ethical AI requirements across the AI model lifecycle.
• Assess AI and business intelligence risks and recommend mitigation measures.
• Perform data discovery, cleansing and mining to find trends and patterns in large datasets.
• Support analytics and AI colleagues and business teams, and work with internal teams to integrate intelligent solutions into existing systems.

Required profile

• Relevant specialist experience in AI strategy, governance, machine learning model lifecycles, advanced analytics and predictive analytics.
• At least 6 years of experience in a relevant field.
• Fluent Arabic and advanced English.
