Explosives Operator (Shop)

About the role

The Explosives Operator (Shop) is responsible for the safe handling, preparation and detonation of explosive charges used during wireline logging operations. The role ensures strict compliance with UAE, ADNOC and client safety regulations while supporting efficient well‑bore activities.

Key responsibilities

• Handle, transport and store explosives and detonating devices in accordance with established safety protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare explosive charges and detonation systems accurately for deployment in well‑bore operations.
• Execute deployment and detonation of charges following operational plans and safety guidelines.
• Coordinate closely with the logging services team to integrate explosive operations with overall logging activities.
• Maintain tools, safety gear and equipment, arranging repairs or replacements as needed.
• Collect technical field data and contribute to progress reports, method statements and near‑miss reporting.
• Support HSE culture by adhering to relevant policies, procedures and sustainability standards.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in explosives handling or a related field, preferably within the oil and gas sector.
• Familiarity with UAE, ADNOC and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
• Ability to work on‑site and follow strict safety and procedural guidelines.
