External Audit Senior Associate – Financial Services (Abu Dhabi/Dubai)

About the role

PwC Middle East is seeking an External Audit Senior Associate to join its Assurance practice, focusing on financial services clients in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. You will work within a collaborative team to deliver high‑quality audits and provide independent assurance over financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client financial statements to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Examine accounting records, inventory, plant and equipment, and other supporting documentation.
• Conduct inquiries—both written and oral—with client personnel.
• Test internal controls and processes of the client organization.
• Build trust with clients by understanding expectations and delivering high‑quality service.
• Research industry information prior to engagement start.
• Communicate progress, risks, and variances to Managers or Partners.
• Take full ownership of external audit file completion.
• Analyse engagement economics and explain budget variances.
• Review work of associate‑level staff, providing on‑the‑job training, coaching and constructive feedback.
• Ensure compliance with risk, quality and independence standards.
