External Audit Senior Associate (Financial Services)

About the role

PwC Middle East is seeking an External Audit Senior Associate to join its Assurance practice in Abu Dhabi (and Dubai). You will work within a team of problem‑solvers, applying analytical expertise to financial statements and helping clients meet regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse client financial statements to ensure compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
• Examine accounting records, inventory, plant and equipment, and other supporting documentation.
• Conduct internal control testing and assess process effectiveness.
• Engage with client personnel through written and oral inquiries to gather evidence.
• Build trust with clients by delivering high‑quality audit services and understanding their expectations.

Required profile

• Relevant audit or accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 1 month of professional experience in external audit or related field.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
